Of Hounds that go 100 yards in the woods and turn left and tree on the first slick they find. Well we are.... It takes an average of 45 minutes to CHOP to our dogs I am sure not going to a tree with no coon in it. We are breeding the track power and brains back into the Walker breed and doing it on a regular basis come take a hunt and see what I am talking about.

Bay Lakes Kennel is dedicated to the hound hunter in all of us. The squeal of a pack of beagles warming up the track on a deer or rabbit. The roar of hounds on the hooves of a whitetail buck. The bay of tough gritty hounds on a bear, and most especially the broken silence of a cool night with the sound of hounds serenading a ringtail to his place of refuge.
Bay Lakes Kennel is located in Southeastern North Carolina in the heart of the Carolina Bays and Swamps of the Cape Fear River. We strive in the Coonhound world to breed, raise, and train track driving, hard treeing, accurate, good-looking hounds.

Bay Lakes Kennel offers at stud Stylish Harry breeding and Yadkin River Blood at it’s finest. We even have the “Old School” Loose Bruce & Woodscreek Blood for stud.

We enjoy hunting whitetails, waterfowl, doves, squirrels, and especially raccoons. All this we do with dogs, and if we could fish with a dog we would do that too!
